Hridaynath Mangeshkar: Lata didi didnot get anything easy but only through struggle

Mumbai . Veteran musician and late singer Lata Mangeshkar’s brother Hridaynath Mangeshkar has said that as a young girl, his sister went through a lot to achieve success, but she dedicated everything to her family and siblings. Hridaynath along with his sister Usha Mangeshkar was present as a guest at the upcoming grand finale of the musical show ‘Naam Reh Jayega’.

He said, “Lata didi had to go through a lot of struggles where she did not reach easily. At such a young age she had to take care of all of us and earn money by singing, my father had his own car, studio and company and we were kids. had seen achhe din but then after his death all separated. But because of Didi and her efforts we rose again.”

Adding to that, Usha Mangeshkar said, “‘Visarjan’ of Lata didi happened with Goddess Saraswati, it was the same day of Saraswati Maa’s Visarjan, February 6, what more can I say.”

As part of a special performance, singers Shankar Mahadevan and Anvesha will sing ‘O Palan Hare’.

Remembering the legendary singer, Shankar said, “We have a peculiar voice in our film industry, and if one needs to describe it in one word, it is called ‘Lata Mangeshkar’. That is why she Truly a legend of our country.”
