According to former coach Lalchand Rajput, India can field its best team in the Asia Cup T20 tournament to be held this month. Coach Lalchand Rajput, who won the T20 World Cup for India in 2007, selected a 15-member team for News18 Hindi, which can be selected for the Asia Cup. Rajput, who is currently in Zimbabwe, said in a phone conversation, ‘Rohit Sharma will definitely play in this tournament because in this he will get a chance to test his experiment so far. The return of Virat Kohli and KL Rahul is also certain. Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik are also set to be selected. Deepak Hooda is the name that can be included in the Indian team due to the experiment of the last two months. Deepak has left behind Shreyas Iyer, Sanju Samson, Ishaan Kishan with his recent performance.
Talking about all-rounders, the Indian selectors will have to do the least amount of work on this subject. Along with the 15-member team of Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja, the place in the playing XI is confirmed. Axar Patel can make a place in the team as the third all-rounder. Deepak Hooda will also be tried as a bowler.

According to Lalchand Rajput, there is a contest between Mohammed Shami and Avesh Khan for the fourth fast bowler. If the selectors prefer experience, Shami will get a chance. Yuzvendra Chahal can be the lone specialist spinner in the team. With Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel in the team, there is less chance of any other spinner being selected in the team other than Chahal.
