- Pradosh fast falling in Krishna Paksha is on 25th July. Since 25th July is Monday, hence this Pradosh Vrat will be known as Som Pradosh Vrat.

Pradosh fast of Shukla Paksha-
Pradosh fast falling in Shukla Paksha is on 9th August. 9 Since August is Tuesday, hence this Pradosh Vrat will be known as Bhaum Pradosh Vrat.

Pradosh period-
- In Pradosh fast, worship has special significance in Pradosh period itself. Pradosh Kaal starts in the evening, about 45 minutes before sunset. It is said that worshiping Lord Shiva during Pradosh period gives auspicious results.

- According to religious beliefs, the Pradosh fast of seven days of the week has its own special significance.

Pradosh Vrat Puja – Method
- Wake up early in the morning and take bath.
- Wear clean clothes after taking bath.
- Light a lamp in the temple of the house.
- If possible, fast.
- Abhishek of Lord Bholenath with Ganga water.
- Offer flowers to Lord Bholenath.
- Along with Bholenath, worship Goddess Parvati and Lord Ganesha on this day. Lord Ganesha is worshiped before any auspicious work.
- Offer offerings to Lord Shiva. Keep in mind that only sattvik things are offered to God.
- Worship Lord Shiva.
- On this day, meditate more and more on God.
