Patel won Team India by scoring the first half-century in his 40th ODI match. This left-handed batsman was successful in making his mark in batting for the first time in international cricket. Akshar played an unbeaten 64 off 35 balls and ended the match with a six in Dhoni’s style. Seeing his innings, India’s captain Rohit Sharma has given an interesting reaction.

India’s regular captain Rohit Sharma made an interesting tweet in Gujarati language in praise of Akshar. Rohit wrote, ‘Wow. Team India had a great performance last night. Bapu Badhu Saru Che. ‘Bapu Badhu Saru Che’ in Gujarati means – Bapu is all right. It is worth noting that Indian players call Axar Patel by the name of Bapu.

Let us tell you that at one time the five wickets of Team India fell for 205 runs. Team India had to score 107 runs in 68 balls to win. After this Deepak Hooda took the front with Akshar Patel. Hooda scored 33 runs in 36 balls. At the other end, Akshar Patel showed his stormy form. Akshar scored fifty in just 27 balls. After Hooda’s dismissal, he played small partnerships with the tail batsmen. Man of the match Axar Patel remained unbeaten on 64 off 35 balls with the help of three fours and five sixes. His strike rate was 182. Axar Patel was adjudged man of the match for his innings.

The last match of the three ODIs between India and West Indies will be played on July 27. After this, a series of five T20 matches will be played between the two teams. Rohit Sharma will return as captain in this series.
