New Delhi. The Uttarakhand government has appointed Indian cricket team wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant as the state’s brand ambassador to encourage the youth of the state for sports and public health. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami himself shared this information in a tweet. Pant, who plays cricket for Delhi, is a native of Uttarakhand and has been made the brand ambassador of the state at the age of 24. Pant has also thanked the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand for handing over this responsibility. Earlier in 2021 too, Pant was made the brand ambassador of the state.

Pant tweeted about it, ‘Thank you @pushkardami ji for giving me this opportunity, no doubt it is a great feeling and also a big responsibility. My message to all the youth is that as long as you believe in yourself and stay focused towards your goal, you can achieve anything.

Earlier, Pant was handed the captaincy of the Indian team for the five T20 home T20 series against South Africa. Under his leadership, the Indian team was successful in drawing the series 2-2. Pant has also captained Delhi Capitals for 2 seasons. Pant has scored 2123 runs in 31 Tests with the help of 5 centuries, while in 27 ODIs he has scored 840 runs with the help of one century.
