Mumbai . Pakistani-Canadian actress Iman Vellani, who has appeared in the recently released series ‘Miss Marvel’ as Kamala Khan. He opened up on his casting process for the miniseries. Actress Iman Iman Vellani said, “I was cast on the last day of high school. I was hanging out with my friends, and I got a text from the casting director asking me to come on a video conference call.”
“But I didn’t even notice her because I’m obsessed with Kevin Feige and Marvel. It’s unanimous, we want you to be Ms. Marvel,” Kevin said, and I was blown away with joy.
Getting the opportunity to play Miss Marvel was very personal for the young actress.
Talking about the role of Ms. Marvel, Iman Iman Vellani said, “The idea of playing Ms. Marvel was very natural to me because of the similarities between Kamala in life and story. We are alike and I have a lot of love for the character. That’s why I sent in an audition tape.”
“I didn’t want to be an actress, but because it was Ms. Marvel and I love the comic for it, it felt like I had no choice because I knew my ten-year-old would hate me if I didn’t audition.” does.”
Vellani made her acting debut as Miss Marvel.
The series is directed by Adil El Arabi, Bilal Falah, Mira Mohan and two-time Academy Award winner Sharmin Obaid Chinoy, with Bisha K Ali as the lead writer.
Meanwhile, the series is produced by Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Adil and Bilal, Bisha’s Ali and Sana Amanat.
