Monthly Durgashtami Puja- Method:
- On this day, wake up in the morning and take a hot bath, then purify it by pouring Ganges water at the place of worship.
- Light a lamp in the temple of the house.
- Abhishek of Maa Durga with Ganga water.
- Offer akshat, vermilion and red flowers to the mother, offer fruits and sweets as prasad.
- Recite Durga Chalisa by lighting incense and lamps and then do the aarti of the mother.
- Offer food to the mother too. Keep in mind that only sattvik things are offered to God.
