In the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022, Judo player Vijay Yadav of Sulemapur village in Varanasi won the bronze medal for the country. When Vijay’s family and villagers got this news, they were shocked. People in the village danced fiercely to the beat of drums and drums. There was a crowd of people who congratulated the family. Vijay beat the Cypriot player 10-0 in 58 seconds. He has won bronze for India in men’s 60 kg weight category. Earlier, Sushila Devi had won a silver medal for India in the women’s 48 kg category.
Vijay’s father Dashrath Yadav told that his financial condition was not good. There was not much money in private work. Vijay was very playful in his childhood. Always used to move his hands and feet in the air. Today the same victory has brought medals for the country. Vijay’s mother Chinta Devi says that my son has fulfilled my dream. Brought a medal for the country which is the biggest gift for a mother. Vijay won a silver medal at the Taipei Youth Asian Championships in 2012 and a bronze medal at the 2013- Youth Asian Championships in China. 2107- Finished fifth at the Asian Championships in Hong Kong and 2017- Participated in the World Championships in Hungary. 2018- Won gold medal in SAARC Championships in Nepal.
