Mumbai . Short film ‘Silvat’ starring Kartik Aaryan is all set to release on June 12 on Zindagi channel.
Set in the late 90s, the film tells the story of Noor and Anwar, who share a passionate love for each other, but are bound by social norms and loyalty. A saga of forbidden love, Unfinished Love completely encapsulates the sorrows it brings with it.
Starring Kartik Aaryan and Mehr Mistry as Anwar and Noor, the film features one of Aryan’s most commendable performances.
Talking about the film, Kartik Aaryan said that ‘Silvat’ is a very special film and it will always be very close to my heart. Anwar’s character is different from all the other characters I have played in my career so far. I shot this film 6 years ago and I can’t believe it is being shown again.
He added, “It feels really overwhelming and valid to see my old work getting the kind of appreciation even in all these years as an actor. The film perfectly captures the emotional turmoil that the characters go through.”
He further added, “From the script, the dialogues to the music, every element plays a vital role in bringing the film together and that is the beauty of it.”
This social drama is directed by renowned filmmaker Tanuja Chandra, who is known for making women-centric films including films like ‘Qarib Qarib Single’ and ‘Dushman’.
The film is written by Faraz Ansari, who is known for telling stories on social issues like LGBTQ rights through his films and is known for his films ‘Sheer Korma’, ‘Sisak’, ‘Stanley Ka Dabba’ .
The value added service of ‘Silvat’ Zindagi will be available on DTH platform Tata Play and 117 on Dish TV and d2h service.
