1 of 1

Los Angeles. The charming and stylish British Secret Service agent James Bond will not return to the silver screen for at least two years as the character is improving, according to franchise producer Barbara Broccoli, reports ‘Deadline’. Producer Broccoli and his brother Michael G. At a star-studded private event in central London to honor Wilson for his BFI fellowship, filming for the next 007 film will take “at least two years” to begin. He said that work on finding an actor to replace Daniel Craig has not begun “because it is a new invention of Bond”.

Broccoli did not draw on who would play Bond next, but offered an update on the decision-making process.

He said, “Nobody is in the running. We’re working out where to go with him, we’re talking about that. There’s no script and we can’t come up with one until we decide that.” How are we going to approach the next film because, really, it’s a new invention of Bond. We’re rediscovering who he is and it takes time. I’d say filming at least two Years away.”

Deadline added that the night was Bond Love Fest, filled with warm and funny video messages from Bond veterans, including Daniel Craig, Dame Judi Dench, Lee Seydoux, Rami Malek and Sam Mendes, from “Skyfall” and “Skyfall”. The director of ‘Spectre’ and Sam Mendes were involved.

Their BFI fellowships are presented to EON pair Broccoli and Wilson by Bond regular Ralph Fiennes, who plays Detective Chief M, and Naomi Harris, who plays the no-nonsense Miss Moneypenny.
