IND vs ENG 1st ODI: India beat England in London, 5 players including Bumrah were the heroes of victory

New Delhi. The Indian team defeated the host England (India vs England) in the very first match of the ODI series. India bowled brilliantly in the match played on Tuesday, bowling out England for the first 110 runs. This is also England’s lowest score against India. This excellent performance of the bowlers was beautifully executed by the batsmen. The result was that India won this match by 10 wickets with 31.2 overs remaining. This match was played at The Oval Ground in London. Let us tell who were the heroes of Indian victory.

boom boom bumrah
The biggest hero of this match was Jasprit Bumrah. He made a splash from the very first over and ended his spell on 7.2-3-19-6. Bumrah’s killer bowling can be gauged from the fact that he made Jason Roy and Joe Root walk in their first over. After this, he dismissed Jonny Bairstow in his third over and Liam Livingstone in the fourth over. Due to this, England’s score was reduced to 25 runs for 5 wickets. Bumrah took the remaining two wickets in his second spell.

Mohammed Shami also made a record
If Bumrah was raining fire from one end, then the British had no relief from the other end. From the other end, the swing bowling of Mohammed Shami was blowing the senses of the English players. Shami made Ben Stokes his first victim. He got Stokes caught behind the wicket. After this came the turn of English captain Jos Buttler. Shami got Butler caught by Suryakumar Yadav. The third and last victim of Shami became Craig Overton. Shami also made the Indian record for the fastest 150 wickets.

Rishabh Pant’s long flight
The fiery bowling of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami also benefited from the long flight of Rishabh Pant. Wicketkeeper Pant looked in full swing in this match and took the catch by diving. The ease with which he caught the difficult catches of Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow is rarely seen. Rishabh Pant also caught the catch of Ben Stokes.

Rohit Sharma’s captaincy innings
After the excellent performance of the bowlers, it was the turn of captain Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan. Rohit Sharma made an unbeaten opening partnership of 114 runs with Shikhar Dhawan to win the match easily for India. Rohit remained unbeaten on 76 and Dhawan 31. Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan also made a record by doing this partnership. The Rohit-Shikhar pair is only the second Indian pair, after Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly, to have added more than 5000 runs as an opener in ODIs.
