Director Priyadarshan’s comedy-drama Hera Pheri starring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal, released in the year 2000, made the audience laugh a lot. After the massive success of this film, in 2006 its producer Firoz Nadiadwala made its sequel Phir Hera Pheri, which was written and directed by Neeraj Vora. The film enthralled the audience more than its first part. Since the success of this film, its 3rd episode has been talked about. Now the producer of this film has himself given a statement in which he has said that the work of the 3rd episode of the film Hera Pheri has started. He also told during this interview that the third part of the film will have the original cast.

Firoz Nadiadwala told Bollywood Hungama, You will get to see Hera Pheri 3 very soon with the original star cast. Only Akshay ji, Paresh bhai and Sunil ji will be a part of this film. The story is in its place and we are working on some new modalities. Keeping the innocence of the characters intact, it will be made according to the audience. We cannot take past success lightly. So we have to be very careful with our content, story, screenplay, characters, modus operandi etc.

It is worth noting that Hera Pheri was released in 2000 and after that Hera Pheri was released again in 2006. Both the films did well at the box office. The first part was directed by Priyadarshan while the sequel was written and directed by late Neeraj Vora. Recently there were rumors that Dream Girl director Raaj Shaandilyaa will direct Hera Pheri 3.

However, Firoz Nadiadwala said that this discussion is not true. He also shared that the team started working on Hera Phera 3 in 2014 but had to stop after Neeraj Vora fell ill. However, there will be a lot of changes in the new film in terms of story and characters.
