After becoming the table tennis under-15 national champion, Avani Tripathi said, dreamed of winning the gold medal in the Olympics

Ghaziabad. Indian players, especially girls, have been showing success in many sporting events for some time now by showing amazing skills. Recently, at the Women’s World Boxing Championships in Istanbul, Turkey, 25-year-old Nikhat Zareen has proved that Indian women players are no less than women players from any other countries in the world by winning the gold medal in the 52 kg category. While many daughters are raising the flag of success outside the country, many daughters are making their talents proud within the country. Recently, Avani Tripathi, who became the national champion in the 83rd Cadet Sub Junior National Table Tennis Championship 2021 held in Indore, is being said that she is going to become the new table tennis sensation of India. The fire has increased.

Let us inform that Avni is a resident of Kudra village of Kaimur district of Bihar, but living in Ghaziabad, UP, she is waving the flag of the state in table tennis. How much are daughters impressed by PM Modi
Avni’s success has caused a wave of happiness not only among her parents but also her relatives. Avni’s father Durga Dutt Tripathi got emotional on his daughter’s success and struggle in a conversation with News18 Hindi. Durg Dutt Tripathi says, ‘In a country where educating daughters is considered a precaution, it is not at all easy to make a daughter a champion. Avani is currently 13 years and seven months old. Practices 8 hours a day. Waking up at five in the morning has become a part of his routine. I was especially impressed by the Modi government’s Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao and Khelo India and encouraged me to play table tennis. Also there is a lot of good support from the coach.

What is the atmosphere of Avni’s family regarding sports?
Trained from Credo Table Tennis Academy in Indirapur, Avani is the first player from UP to top the under-15 category. Avni’s elder sister Vidushi has also participated in the National Championship in Table Tennis. Right now she is in 12th standard and is concentrating on her studies, however, she has turned away from table tennis. But, Avni got the inspiration to play from her sister and she has made it her passion.

dream of getting medal in olympics
Avni is currently a student of class VIII. On what she likes best in studies and sports, she says in a conversation with News18 Hindi, ‘I like to play more. I study too, but I want to play further. My aim is to get gold medal in Olympics. Keeping this in mind, I also practice. My parents have supported me a lot. If I become a champion, then all the credit goes to my parents and family.

Challenges before Avni
Although, Avni’s father says that this amount encourages, but this amount is nothing in comparison to the expenses incurred for the daughter’s training and participation in the championship. According to him, 4 to 5 lakh rupees are spent on Avni every year. It is not easy for a middle class family to bear this expense. This is the reason why many other talents are not able to progress.

Khelo India how helpful
Avni has worked a lot on her technique over time. While playing, she takes care of the service of the player in front and on seeing it, she makes the opponent mind. Under the Khelo India campaign of the Government of India, Avani used to get a fellowship of 10 thousand. In the middle of the performance, this fellowship was stopped, but Avni’s performance in the last few years has been exceptional.

What the coach has to say about Avni
Avni’s coach Nikita Kumar has a big contribution in Avni’s success. The way Nikita Kumar carved a girl child at Credo Table Tennis Academy in Indirapuram and brought her to this point is commendable. Nikita says about Avni, ‘Avni was a state player 2 years ago, but gradually the way she worked hard is less visible. If she continues to play at this pace, she will definitely play for the national one day. When I saw Avni for the first time, I felt like other children, but not taking any of her holidays, coming for practice even when she was ill and most importantly, she used to come for practice even when I was not there. . He doesn’t care whether I am in the academy or not. This kind of discipline and its nature slowly showed that it is going to go a long way. She is shy by nature, but when she is in court, she is a different girl. He is completely focused towards his game.

Avni’s mother Hemlata says in a conversation with News18 Hindi, ‘Avni has no particular age as of now, as she will be carved, she will become like that. While going for training in the morning, I definitely give him sattu. There is no specific diet right now. Sometimes she drinks juice in between so that energy is available. Proper food is given at night. Especially she likes paneer curry. Avni loves Poha and Jalebi. She never misses a single chance to eat it.

Although many people have a hand in Avni’s success, but the way father Durga Dutt and mother Hemlata are saving her career and giving right direction, she is an example for other parents. The UP Table Tennis Federation has also announced a reward of one lakh rupees to Avni for winning the competition. Avani had secured second position in the Invitational International Table Tennis Championship in Lalitpur, Nepal this year and finished third in the team category.
