SAI brass inspects KIYG district venues Hyderabad: As part of the preparations for the 8th edition of the Khelo India Youth Games-2026, to be hosted by Telangana, a team of officials from the Sports Authority of India (SAI) conducted inspections of sports facilities in Medchal-Malkajgiri, Karimnagar and Hanumakonda districts on Wednesday.The SAI delegation, led by Executive Director Amar Jyoti and comprising Assistant Directors Madhu Harsha, Gopal Kandpal and Mohit, visited the Hakimpet Sports School, Karimnagar Sports School, Satavahana University, Dr B. R. Ambedkar Stadium in Karimnagar, and various sports venues under the Sports Authority of Telangana in Hanumakonda. During the visit, the team reviewed the sports infrastructure and facilities in detail, assessing their readiness to host the Khelo India Youth Games. The officials also evaluated the amenities available for athletes, technical officials and visitors. The SAI officials directed to undertake necessary repairs and upgrade infrastructure wherever required to ensure that all venues meet the standards for hosting the prestigious national event.
