South Korea gears up for Pyeongchang Winter Olympic 2018
South Korea is all set to welcome the mega event of
Winter Olympics at Pyeongchang in the year 2018. With two years left for the upcoming event, the “Olympic Festival” has been organized to celebrate G-2 (Games minus two years) around Dano Park from February 4-6, 2016.
A special stage has been set up for the opening ceremony of this event, which will be graced by the stunning performances of the popular K-Pop singers. Other cultural and art organizations will also be showcasing the Korean traditional entertainment treasures of Gangwon-do Province (the host province for the Winter Olympics). Test events will be held to ensure that the region is well equipped with all the infrastructure and facilities for the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics 2018.
The opening ceremony will be held on February 4th, 2016 at Dano Park and test games “Snowboard slope style final” will be held on February 21st, 2016 at the Pyeongchang Bokwang Phoenix Park. A one day tour pass for the events can be purchased online at www.gogogangwon.com.

According to Mr. Byungsun Lee, Director Korea Tourism Organization, “It’s about time for the Indians to be well aware of the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in Korea.
